Page Type: REFERENCE
This is a USB cable between the PC and a scanner's RCX adapter, and it carries the data and audio communications. The cable has a USB Type A male connector (to plug into the PC) and a USB Type B male connector (to plug into the RCX unit mounted on the back of a scanner.)
If this cable is unplugged at either end the affected scanner will be invisible to the PC, and therefore disconnected from Rangecast. Windows Device Manager will be missing both the expected COM port and "USB Codec". The expected "Microphone" channel will be missing from the Windows Sound box. It is very unlikely that the cable itself would be defective.
